Dental Crowns
Dental Crown is a tooth-shaped artificial Cap that fits over the prepared existing tooth to replace the natural crown. A crown is often the best way to protect a tooth and strengthen it. Crowns can be made from Porcelain, Stainless steel or Gold. There are a number of reasons why Crowns are needs:
- To restore an already broken tooth or a tooth that has been severely worn down
- To cover and support a tooth with a large filling when there isn’t a lot of tooth left
- To protect a weak tooth (for instance, from decay) from breaking or to hold together parts of a cracked tooth
- To protect a tooth that has undergone Root Canal Treatment
- To hold a Dental Bridge in place
